Picture yourself strolling along this old country lane enjoying the summer breeze and smelling the freshly cut hay. In the distance is an old tobacco barn which rapidly becoming a rare sight in eastern North Carolina since the cash crop has been replaced by cotton and sod. This painting titled "Country Lane" has a nostalgic feel... days of family farms and home gardens gone by... a time when we were close to the land and elements... more in touch with nature.
