I painted this one on location at Onslow Beach aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune... it was C-C-COLD! Once a month I gather with a few plein air artist friends... we call ourselves OOPS... to plein air paint around the county we live in. Read all about the outing HERE...

I painted this impressionistic style landscape during a recent paint out with my local plein air group... OOPS. The scene is set in the coastal town of Surf City on Topsail Island, North Carolina. This Surf City Crab sign caught my eye and was a pleasure to paint.

This painting, on a gessoed panel with painted sides, is easily framed or displayed with a decorative easel.

All my paintings are signed originals using artist grade oils and archival surfaces. "Certificate of Authenticity" included.

The pristine beaches of Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina are unsurpassed in beauty in my humble opinion. The miles of natural shoreline beauty is awesome to behold... Creation at its best! As an artist... I have found many sites of inspiration on this small island. This spectacular view of the ocean through the sand dunes was one of those inspirational moments... "View from Ocracoke Island #2"... the result. If you ever get the chance to visit these beaches please do so.
