This Impressionistic painting, "The Old Home Place", has a nostalgic feel... almost as if you were visiting grandma and grandpa. Can't you just imagine fly-fishing with grandpa in the nearby river or helping grandma work on a hand stitched quilt on the front porch. This scene in real life is set on the banks of the south fork of the New River near Todd, North Carolina.
