The French term... "En Plein Aire" ... literally translates ... "In Open Air". It is one of my favorite ways to paint... Outdoors enjoying God's creation. Recently I had the privilege of spending ten days in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where I spent almost every day plein air painting.
Plein Air #5 is set in the small community of Fleetwood. This cottage happens to be the office at Fleetwood Falls where our mountain lodge is located. The cottage is nestled in the woods on the banks of the beautiful South Fork of the New River where time slows down and people still wave hello.
The actual scene...
This painting, on a Gessoed Panel with painted sides, is easily framed or displayed with a decorative easel.
All my paintings are signed originals using artist grade oils and archival surfaces. "Certificate of Authenticity" included.
