The French term... "En Plein Aire" ... literally translates ... "In Open Air". It is one of my favorite ways to paint... Outdoors enjoying God's creation. Recently I had the privilege of spending ten days in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where I spent almost every day plein air painting.
Plein Air #6 is set at Fleetwood Falls... a quiet mountain community with the kindest folks. This barn sits on the mountain where its red colors sings out against the green foliage. A landmark for the residents of Fleetwood Falls. This is the same barn I painted last winter titled... Snowy Barn at Fleetwood Falls.
