Another still life painting from life... "Leaning Pear"... the first of a couple more pear paintings to come that I have done in the studio of late. There is something about the shape of a pair that has intrigued artists since the beginning and calls out to us... "paint me!" Everyday objects painted from life is the essence of the "Painting a Day" art movement that is gaining momentum in the art collecting market. These small paintings from life really help sharpen my eye and keep me painting on a daily basis.
