Highlighted artist on Creative Spotlite webpage...

I am very humbled and honored to be highlighted on Creative Spotlite's Artist Spotlite section of their awesome website. Many artists use their site as a knowledge base for art lessons and resources... cool to be highlighted among my peers. I have purchased several instruction DVD's from this top notch company and highly recommend their artists resources.

Old tobacco barns like this scatter the country side in Eastern North Carolina. Most are being reclaimed by nature like this old one nestled in the shade of several pine trees. Many southern country folk can identify with these old barns and the long summer days of work and fellowship that went under their tin roofs. It won't be to many years in the future when this will be a rare site indeed.

This small still life titled "Cadmium Lemon" was painted from life as part of my "a painting a day" series. The play on subject matter ties my love of painting everyday objects like this lemon and my love of art represented by the tube of cadmium lemon paint.
